I'll be brief. All of what's happening here gets us Morlun. Morlun still being a thing means that all of the JMS run wasn't eradicated when 'One Lame Day' happened, which means the second best run ever on ASM wasn't thrown into the bin. It's also nice to have one hero who's 'Original Sin' doesn't make them a borderline supervillain. These things make me happy. This issue has a mix of happy and lame. Black Cat leads the charge when it comes to lame, as her 'grrrr....Spider-Man!!!' antics were already boring in issue one. We don't need a super villain version of JJJ, and if we do that's why we have spider-slayers. This is all easy to see, as Slott knows he has a good thing in JJJ because he's all over this issue, including a good old fashioned 'Spider-Man's secret identity is about to be revealed!' moment that would fit in a Gerry Conway issue as well as it does here. The happy comes from Silk and the ceiling antics above Anna Maria that you'll just have to see to believe. No where near as good as last week's Superior Spider-Man, but it will get us where we're going.
