Although appearing to be a gimmick book, "Look gang it's the new Captain Marvel's first full blown appearance!", DeConnick story quickly brings us to a time when Spider-Man stories were fun. Witty Dialog, Terry Dodson art work, Odd situations, and oddball 3rd level villians who appear out of nowhere. It really is like stepping back into the pages of Marvel Team Up circa 1970's.
