BONUS REVIEW by HARVEY WALLRAVEN
I have not read Batgirl since Babs was wearing the cowl, so when I was asked to do this review I thought I would give the high heeled heroine another try. Right away the cover draws you in promising two of the hottest trends in movies today, Vampires and 3-D . So it can’t be that bad, right? Well ask yourself “Do you really like vampires and 3-D in movies today?” And I think you will have the answer about how much you will enjoy this issue. The wrap around story of Stephanie and Kara getting together as BFF is a nice glimpse into the private lives of Batgirl and Supergirl. I wish more comics would explore the secret identity aspect of heroes. That being said the “villains” of the story seem thrown together as an afterthought rather than as a major threat to our sizzling super stars. This issue would have been better off as just a “Supergirl explores college life” issue rather than trying to tie the vamps and 3-D craze into the issue. A very average comic.
