Barbara Gordon's life in 5 years is unexpected and grim, to say the least. Half Batman, half Bane, she is leading the charge with a team of Batgirls, including the appealing Stephanie Brown (back in her pre-New52 Batgirl outfit), the mysterious Cassandra Cain (!!!), and the newest member to wear the mantle Tiffany Fox (a more sensitive and intellectually engaged Batgirl). This is a fun one-shot that strains credulity in Babs's emotional journey, but pays off nicely! You like seeing Barbara going through transformative pain, a core theme of the character?
