The New 52 Batwoman's journey has been, at times, overly complicated and burdened with unpolished dialogue. HOWEVER, this month's Killer Croc-focused installment exhibits improvement in both plotting and prose. The sensuality throughout Williams/Blackman's run reaches a peculiar climax with #21. Killer Croc's attempt at pillow talk will be the most talked about sequence. Despite its flaws, Batwoman still has sumptuous and devastating moments unseen in other books. Francavilla provides his expected, and always welcome, ravishingly pulpy interiors.
