After this issue, it looks undeniable that a big confrontation is waiting around the corner. Garth Ennis has crafted the whole series to get to this point, and it’s difficult to give a sufficient synopsis on it. I’ll just say that The Boys are group that is devoted to stopping the multitude of super humans flitting around, and a plan by one of those super humans to unite the fraternity starts in this issue. The comic is graphic, it’s raw, and Garth is violent against his protagonists—their super-society is twisted, but each proganist tries, despite the reality of life, to grab on to something nobler. This issue gives the reason for the Highland Laddies miniseries, and marks a turning point in the series. A great issue, and it’s why I continue to buy this comic.
