I had been hoping that the new origin of the Defenders would grow less confusing as the mini-series continued but I was sorely mistaken. While I finally got that this part of the story was told in a flash forward, it didn't really help the overall story line explanation. Instead, I get another appearance of the hooded stabber and the new menace(?) of some sort of train. Oh yeah, did I mention the severed Hulk's head that feeds on magic?
