Being a big fan of the Claypool run of Elvira comics in the early 90's, I muttered to myself "please don't suck, please don't suck" as I hesitated to open the cover to begin reading. Luckily, it does not. Artist Dave Acosta has a real knack for drawing the Mistress of the Dark. And writer David Avallone update the wraparound story from backstage on her TV show to backstage at her movie. Add in a mysterious paranormal coffin that teleports people in time and you've got a recipe for a winner.
