This year’s TMNT free comic book day has two stories to share. In the first we’re
placed into New York City a year after a mutagen bomb going off and seeing the
repercussions of its effects socially. As we learn of its effects on New York we see a
character make their first debut into IDW’s comic universe... the Nightwatcher! In
second story we see our favorite turtles and Master Splinter trying to relax in the
evening, but their teenage clamor seems to be too much for their sensei. Sending
them to patrol they learn a lesson on vigilance as father relaxes and lets loose at
home. The first story brings in new excitement for the next step in IDW’s Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles series and we get to enjoy a classic silly tale with the turtles in
the second.
