Fearless Dawn #1 (2009)

Fearless Dawn gets a re-release and no one on here is crowing about it? Crazy-pants! Fearless Dawn is a one woman n*zi fighting, cheesecake machine. You might have seen her fighting fascists recently when she met new pal Hellboy.


This is a little rougher than that. Creator Steve Mannion writes and draws this re-release of her original series, and the dialogue is a little more 'die' than 'to die for', and the cake is so very much cheesier. Mannion's early art style is very much of the 'what did Dave Stevens art look like in high school?' variety, but he's got some smoothness in there that hints at things to come.
If you're a fan of B/C level exploitation flix, the Rocketeer, or drug use as a way to break out of Manitoba prisons, this book has nearly EVERYTHING for you.

If you only like one of those things, you may want to stay away. Manitoba prison escape fans, I'm looking at you.
