After a brief, demonic waylay, the Ghoul and Detective Klimpt finally come face-to-face with the horror they have sought. What began as a Hollywood rumor takes a twisted turn for the worst and the recently teamed-up monster and cop find themselves in a nightmare of glitz, glamour and guts! Also, part three of the prose Ghoul adventure “My Ghoul” also concludes as Wrightson, Niles and IDW dole out a generous dose of horrors.

If you were to take the best of the stories found in Creepy, or Tales
>From the Crypt, develop one of the smug, lesson teaching monsters at the
end into an awesome private “dick” protagonist, you’d have The
Ghoul. Unlike most other hulking behemoths that tromp around and smash
evil with ease, this big grey ghoul has an extremely winning personality
and it’s hard not to want to be the subject of his playful jabs. The
charm of this book lies in the characters, and how they react to the
eerie monsters surrounding the Hollywood mystery they’re trying to
solve. The art style is perfect for such a “pulpy” adventure, and the
reader winds up with a smile one only gets in watching a couple of cool
cats square off against the type of hellspawn only pulp horror can
provide.
