Happy #4 (1992) has been added to your cart.
I heard that when the band R.E.M. was criticized for only producing sad, depressing songs, they wrote “Happy, Shiny People” as the (sarcastic?) response. Morrison didn’t go that far, but this comic tries to bring a bit of childhood innocence into the hard-nosed detective genre. It works; this is the last issue of a four-part stand-alone, and it’s (needlessly) bloody violent, the optimism of childhood shines a small beacon throughout. Though I think the horse should have been pink, not blue.
