The Fear Itself event enters the world of Iron Man, or rather War Machine, as Rhodey Rhodes attempts to figure out exactly what is happening. What got my attention was the present of Fat Cobra on the cover. If you missed the Immortal Weapons miniseries from last year, go check it out. This comic, billed as Part I, builds the back story, as we see forces gather on both sides, and the loaming kung-fu and pyrotechnic battle will be daunting. Nick Spencer handles his writing tasks well (except for the last page, perhaps), the foes appear brutal but not stupidly evil, and Ariel Olivetti’s artwork looks great, the pages just coming alive. I’ve avoided this event, to be honest, but with this cast and artistic team, I’ll follow this thread.
