Anthologies are usually a mixed bag. You can check that box for Marvel Age #1000 as soon as you get to the door. Now I could tell you about the pretty terrible Ryan Stegman Spidey/Lizard story. I could tell you that its a downer to be reminded that Phineas T. Horton was a self serving so-and-so when he created Toro (the original human torch).

I could, in detail, but lets not be negative. There's a whole zone for that, and it doesn't make an appearance in this issue. Instead, we'll focus on the 'best of Buffy' feel of an X-Men story where young love might be blossoming in spite of curfews. We'll focus on the reunion of Dan Slott and Michael Allred of Silver Surfer fame letting the original Captain Marvel travel to the stars in a way he never though possible. We'll focus on Steve McNiven trading his BWS phase for Moebius when the aforementioned Norrin Radd crosses paths with Mephisto in what might be the best looking story Marvel puts out this year. Finally, we'll focus on JMS returning to Marvel, joined by Kaare Andrews, for the story of three youngsters who can see a better future for themselves, and maybe for us as well.

At 9.99, this is a pricey book. There's enough good stuff in there to make it worth your while.
