Reviews

Paper Girls is about the best book being published by Image, its the better of the two ongoing titles written by Brian K. Vaughn, and is so good that we rush to get the chance to review it. (I won this week, so take that Shawn- Illinois rules, Wisconsin drools.) Issue five wraps up the first arc of the true adventures of the best group to ever deliver the Columbus Preserver. According to the American Newspaper Delivery Guild, this means we'll have a short hiatus before we see another issue. There are many elements that excel, but the dialogue more than the story is crushingly good. Cliff Chiang's art is what the Goonies novelization looks like in my head-rough lines, distinct characters, amazing creatures, and a perfect version of the dark side of Steven Spielberg's most nightmarish suburbs.
Heed the warning that the end of this issue changes everything for three of our characters. Don't jump to the end!! Instead, Jump on a bike, grab your bag, and let's all go house to house with the news that Paper Girls is spectacular.
