I try to watch most Ultraman and Kaiju-inspired independent series when they come out, and with Redman coming from the Ultraman creators, there was no way I'd pass this one up. My only gripe here is that I wish this issue had just a little more in it. The twist is teased but not fully explained, so unless you're already a fan of giant men in bright spandex suplexing kaijus, this may fly under your radar. But if you're a fan of taking camp and nostalgia and adding one small twist to it, along with some killer art, then grab a copy of Redman # 1.
