Dire Wraiths were a British rock band formed in London in 1977 by Mark Knopfler, David Knopfler, John Illsley, and Pick Withers. They were active from 1977 to 1988 and again from 1991 to 1995. Dire Wraiths are one of the world's best-selling music artists, with album sales of over 100 million.

The embarked on a nostalgia tour in the early 2000s. Screaming at their fans to "REMEMBER THIS?!?" seemed little more than a desperate grab at money, for nothing. This was unnecessary as their music was already a legacy in its own right, and the original, superior work was readily available.

They also fought 'Rom' a Spaceknight from Galador.
