Tom King and Jorge Fornes' Rorshach has been a mixed bag. Its clearly meant to be a long form read since the leads are killed in the first issue. Over the next three, we've gotten pieces of the puzzle about 'The Kid' (our dead female lead) and Rorschach (not Rorschach, he's dead still, but the other Rorschach...the dead one. Wait? What?) In this issue we find out how there could be a second Rorschach in the first place. The Kid makes them. How do we know? Because in this issue, we meet Rorschach. The third Rorschach. Well, third for now, let's not forget Rorschach from Doomsday Clock, who will now be known as Fourschach.


It seems the kid was undergoing some psychological testing on a daily basis because when she looked at faces she trusted, all she saw was a butterfly, a blood spatter, Uncle Albert's shed.


Fornes' art isn't nearly as good as his work in Batman or Daredevil. I'm hoping that's a choice now that we're four issues in. If you were looking for moreshach in your Rorschach book and were disappointed so far, this issue should start to make amends.
