VERY FINE/NEAR MINT

Written by Gail Simone Art by Nicola Scott & Doug Hazlewood Cover by Cliff Chiang

One of the most-requested and anticipated confrontations in recent DC history takes place right here: Catman vs. Batman! The Six's latest mission takes the team to Alcatraz to free a Super-Villain, but what is the secret she carries that hundreds of villains would give their lives to possess? DC's dirtiest team only gets dirtier, and we wouldn't want it any other way!

REVIEW by Brian Fisher

Finding its groove after a juggling act of a first issue, Secret Six hits its stride running. What I’m now going to refer to as the “Subversive League of America,” Secret Six is for those of you who love cheering on the bad guy. Its jet-black humor, mixed in with great action and whip-smart dialogue fills a hole in the DC line-up that’s been lacking a smart super-villain book for a while. It’s what Warren Ellis’ Thunderbolts should have been but never achieved. I hate saying it, because I usually loathe her writing, but Gail Simone, along with the highly-underrated Nicola Scott have knocked this baby out of the park. I cannot recommend this book enough.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
