“ONE MORE DAY” Part 3 The most-talked about – and controversial – comic event of the year continues, brought to you by J. Michael Straczynski and Joe Quesada! Brace yourself, Spidey fans, after this, nothing will be the same for Peter Parker! The stakes have never been higher. At his darkest hours – and he's had plenty – Peter has always had one shoulder to lean on, one person who'd remind him who he is, who he was, and who he can be. Now he's about to lose that person. What would he do...what would you do, if you only had "One More Day?"

"As Brainiac put it in the superb ‘JLA: Earth 2’: ‘Allow me to complete your painfully slow calculations.’ Even if you’ve managed to avoid the spoilers to One More Day that have been available on the Internet since the days of UNIVAC, you’ll still see every ‘twist’ in this story coming. But that brings up a question whose answer will determine if you love or hate this issue: In an ‘event’ story like this, is the point the journey or the destination? If you said ‘journey’, you’ll probably dig this a little more than I did, as Quesada creates some moody, subtly tense art and Straczynski is clearly in his element with the metaphysical ‘this is your life’/’It’s A Wonderful Life’ plot he’s concocted. However, if you said ‘destination’, you’ll dig this a lot less than I did, and are probably better off waiting for January’s awesome-looking Brand New Day, as none of the ‘deadly secrets’ inside this issue are at all surprising. Or, by this point, even secrets. For me, I’m split, as despite feeling that this four-part story is about three parts too long, I thought that both creators seemed to find a nice groove with this issue. But yeah, an extra dollar for bios and a reprint? No thanks."
