BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS

Supergirl’s character keeps evolving, as she tries to figure out who she wants to be, and who she is. Case in point, here: while trying to save the world from an arch nemesis, Supergirl must figure out whom she feels she can trust (how she thinks they should act, in other words), and what friendship means. Yes, it has a larger price tag, but it’s for a good reason: the story is longer, and Sterling Gates does a fantastic job on pacing, on action scenes, but mostly on characterization that it’s all worth it. Sometimes longer stories are filled with fluff, but not this one. For fans of the old movie, the backup story is cowritten by Helen Slater. Check this one out.
