We've been promised that 2017 will move the Rebirth story line forward. Geoff Johns tweeted out an atomic symbol on a blue man's head, so there's reason to believe that's true. Anyone looking to see someone who keeps things in cages who can genetically manipulate animals into whatever shape he wants should probably look at this issue. Tomasi and Gleason show they can work the darker version of upbeat superheroics just as nicely as the sunny side, giving weight to the Supermen of the multi-verse as they fight to stay out of those cages. One will fail. One will fall. And one will lose the ability to have dinner with the Quik bunny and talk politics.
