True story... my first issue of Thor was issue #325. That featured Darkoth the Death Demon! I recognized him before Thor did in this issue. That's about all I liked about this issue.
I am sick of Thor brooding and whining all the time. In the early 2000s Thor become Lord of Asgard and accepted his new role easily. As a matter of fact, everyone around him thought he was terrible at it and no longer worthy of Mjolnir. When in fact, he was still worthy and was just not using his hammer.
None of that is here. This Thor just keeps whining and whining. Jason Aaron literally spent 7 years tearing Thor down and building up him. Donny seems to have forgotten that part.
Also terrible 1980s/90s dialogue ridden Venom King in Black is here. For reasons...
Dear Odin it is hard to read what Eddie says at times, example A: "Back to the Old School!" Blargh.
Fill in artist Salvador Larroca is a far cry from his once recognizable self. If it did not say his name on the cover and in the credits I would have never guessed it was him. Terribly rushed all around.
I did not want to wait 3 months for this... I should not have had to wait 3 months for this. We as Thor fans deserve better.
