Reviews

This issue is an old school example of how good Walking Dead was when it was a book about surviving a zombie apocalypse. It is also a middle aged school example of how intriguing it became when it was more than just that, and is a fully new school issue dealing with the reality that people are the worst, most dangerous impediment to the survival of man kind as a species.

For about a year, Dwight was the voice of frustration that could both be identified with, feared, and dismissed in the same sentence. You could literally say "J*sus, Dwight..." after each of his rants, railing about how smart and stupid he was being at the same time. Dwight is gone now. Dead. Killed by Rick. Ripples have been spreading out, and where does that leave us? Another large piece is moved off the board in this issue. Another large piece is moved squarely into the line of fire. Another large piece identifies itself clearly for all to see. Per the issue title, things seem to be...

falling into place. Next issue will be explosive. Lines drawn, sides chosen, man looking to eradicate his fellow survivor...that sort of thing. Nice to have a classic on this side of an event.
