VERY FINE/NEAR MINT

Written by MIKE CAREY
Penciled by DIOGENES NEVES

Rogue has survived a lot in her day, but can she survive the men warring for her heart? It’s not the first time several men have courted the Southern Belle, but it is the first time she can actually do anything about it. Who will she chose? You’ll be shocked!

BONUS REVIEW by SHANE WALLACE

Right after the events of Necrosha and leading into the events of Second Coming is a simple one shot issue focusing in my favorite mutie, Rogue. Issues like these is what made me fall in love with the X-Men in the first place. Character stories that focus on relationships and the burden of being a mutant. Carey's book, X-Men Legacy, has always had one character he's always focused on, Rogue, so it's no surprise here that she is the main character in this story. While trying to find the Phoenix Force, the Cuckoo's give Rogue a bit of their telepathic powers. This leads to some embarrassing moments as she tries to understand and improve the overall morale of the X-Men. Yanick Paquette's artwork is fine and fitting. This issue is a great story for any old school fan or a newbie who wants to jump on.

I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
