BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS
As another animated series begins on Cartoon Network from DC, its comic counterpart makes its debut. In the past I wasn’t a fan of these type of knockoffs, but this one is different. The story fit in the middle of the current rose-colored glasses style of New Batman: Brave & The Bold, and the older animated comics that risked a hard edge occasionally. Young Justice is a team of youngsters who want to form a team outside of the auspices of the Justice League. One would expect guest appearances by JLA members occasionally, which happens here, but I expect more down-to-earth issues for these kids who live with their parents, too—which also happens here. Great first issue; can’t wait to read more.
