This is a fine recovery after last week's 'Spider-Verse #2' was a waste of money. Hopefully you didn't feel too burned by it and are ready for something better. We may not know what it is, but the end-game begins here. Major players join the field, whiny old men, um, whine, and the Inheritors are all set to be surprised by a major loss as well.

While we're here, let's deal with Ben from last issue. We all know he was just a totem, he's not 'Uncle' Ben, and he's a giant disappointment to boot. He provides very little in the way of useful information and less in the way of seeing that his great power gave him great responsibility. Otto has a few things to say about that, and they're highly entertaining. Does that mean he's being set up for a redemptive death? Yeah, it pretty much feels scheduled for part 6.

While still appealing, the art by Giuseppe Camuncoli is more in line with his previous spider work instead than Oliver Coipel's. Cam Smith was clearly up against the deadline clock, but the result isn't rushed. Call it the difference between inking and finishing. Older fans will appreciate the way Peter takes command on the last page. Nailed it, indeed.
