Meet Daredevil as you’ve NEVER seen him before! The cataclysmic events of issue 500 left Matt in the toughest place of his life – and forced him to make the hardest decision he’s ever made. Now’s the start of a radically different chapter in Daredevil’s adventures, and the perfect jumping-on point as the new creative team of Andy Diggle (THUNDERBOLTS) and Roberto De La Torre (IRON MAN) take DD to entirely new highs…and lows!

BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS

Surpassing issue 500 is a benchmark, no doubt, and for DD it begins with a new writer/artist team in Andy Diggle and Roberto De La Torre. I admit I’m spotty on DD, reading an issue here and there, always admiring the series gritty and ruddy qualities, but not enjoying the downtime of the character. This issue intrigued me, however, since it spent the whole issue with Murdock in costume, and it dealt with DD becoming leader of the evil organization The Hand, with sidebars containing Foggy Nelson (still DD’s buddy?) and The Kingpen (a character who can’t retire, I guess). Startling build-up, with a somewhat unsurprising ending, I enjoyed the issue, though the scrawling artwork was disconcerting in spots, and I’ll like to see his true love return. How about it, Marvel?

I give it 6 out of 10 Grahams
