Onions have layers. And yes Donkey, parfait has layers. Something else that people like that has layers? I give you David Liss’ current Black Panther story. The writing has been so good that I am able to look past the less than desirable artwork yet again. I mean, if you like your Panther looking just this side of genetically cross-bred with a bulldog, then maybe it’s for you. Nonetheless, the story keeps right on rolling giving depth to main characters while introducing and exploring lesser characters who have just been hanging out in the background. As much as I dread the upcoming “America Panther” concept and am on the fence with “Stormhunters”, I’m thoroughly enjoying following T’Challa’s fight against a villain more intelligent and deadly than his predecessor. Lenny Kravitz, sing us out: “American Panther…”
